THE GIFT OF LAUGHTER
Last month I had the joy of participating in an expo in Santa Monica, co-hosted by Swami Advaitananda Giri, the Laughing Monk. A practitioner of Laughter Yoga, the Laughing Monk started and ended all of his talks and meditations with deep belly laughter. His laughter was infectious, and pretty soon, everyone around him was laughing too.
In these turbulent times, there was something deeply therapeutic about being in a community of people laughing joyfully. I felt so touched that I prepared a special surprise for the Laughing Monk. Click the video below to enjoy some comical fun!
Sometimes in challenging times, it might not seem simple to allow ourselves to laugh. If you are feeling other emotions, I do encourage you to acknowledge and address them. That said, if you can find any space in your heart for laughter, it can be quite a blessing.
